    Was Aristotle a Master Marketer?

3 ways Aristotle outlined the best marketing practices in the 4th Century BCE Was Aristotle the original Social Media marketer?  Or for that matter any other type of marketing master?  To answer that question, we need to begin with what is the intention of marketing? Whether it’s marketing a product, a service, or marketing yourself, marketing attempts to gain buy-in to the idea of whatever it is you are offering. The goal, regardless of trying to sell the latest product or trying to get a potential customer to work with you, marketing is trying to persuade someone’s interest. Aristotle outlined some of the best practices for marketing in the 4th Century BCE. In the Rhetoric, Aristotle discussed how to most effectively persuade someone.  In…

  • Meet the Crouch Group’s Intern Shelby Richardson

The Crouch Group is happy to welcome our returning intern, Shelby Richardson. Shelby first worked with us last fall with the Oklahoma United Methodist Home for Christmas Campaign. The Home for Christmas Campaign was designed to unite people in Oklahoma with a church near them for the holiday season.  Shelby worked directly with 500 churches  to communicate the campaign as well as help those churches through the process. Shelby’s new responsibility will be creating content for clients in their social media projects. Social media today is swamped by older content that seems to be continually shared, yet offers no new information. We are excited that Shelby can help the Crouch Group as well as our clients come up with new and timely topics to be shared, making a lasting impression on viewers….

  • Photography in the West Texas Plains

Creating a web site for a client sometimes takes far more than working in the comfort of the office in front of a computer screen. When The Crouch Group recently took on the task of designing a new web site for Kyle Erwin Construction Company, it became clear that custom photography illustrating their services “out in the field” was needed. In this case, that meant a trip to the wind blown West Texas oil fields, where the company was engaged in several major projects. The job was assigned to Brittany Johnston, one of the Crouch Group account executives and a recent graduate of UNT. Among Brittany’s specialties is on-site photography, so off she went to the flat and dusty plains of West Texas. The job…

  • Building Up the Community with Eureka 2

Eureka! Over the past week, members of the community from all over Denton came together to repeat history and rebuild a beloved playground. Just as in 1995 for the original Eureka playground, hundreds of volunteers arrived in the dreary November weather to give their time and effort to the community. The Eureka 2 playground project is supported by the Denton Parks Foundation, of which The Crouch Group’s Tim Crouch is currently President. The community build week proved to be very successful, and the playground is on track to be ready to open in January, with a formal grand opening later in the year. Many organizations sent groups of volunteers to the work site, including Boy Scout troops, UNT student organizations, and local Denton businesses. Even…

  • Marketing a Better Divorce Option

When most people think about divorce, they think of the traditional method involving two people slugging it out in litigation. But this method often leaves behind a trail of destruction, especially if children are involved. The Collaborative Divorce process is a relatively new concept that strives to help divorce clients stay out of the courtroom and obtain the best outcome for everyone involved. Spreading the Word In October, The Crouch Group held a one-day conference in Austin with prominent attorneys from the Austin and Dallas area to teach how best to use their marketing efforts to gain more collaborative clients. We talked about the importance of explaining the collaborative divorce method to new clients, and critiqued the participants’ websites to help them understand the importance…
