Are you involved with 4-H, FHA, FFA or other areas of leadership and applying for college and looking for scholarship opportunities?
The North Texas State Fair Association, as part of its mission to “Invest in the Future of Our Youth,” is accepting applications for two $2,000 scholarships through April 1 from graduating North Texas students who are applying to a junior college or university.
The scholarships include the North Texas State Fair Association Scholarship and the Bob C. Powers Scholarship created in honor of Mr. Powers’ longtime affiliation with the North Texas Fair Association.
A CPA with the accounting firm Hankins, Powers and Eastup, Powers served as board member and treasurer on the fair’s governing board and started the program to help young people in their growth and development as well as fostering involvement and expanding their horizons.
