Blogging Made Simple: The Crouch Group Way

bloggingBlogs… everyone knows that they should do it.

Everyone has good intentions and even great ideas for blog content. The trouble only begins when you try to get those ideas on “paper”. For many people the issue is finding the time to actually sit down and get those ideas out of their head.

Or they get it written but need another set of eyes to help with editing the content. Or they need help optimizing the edited blog for the Search Engines; coming up with a good meta-description for Google or finding an eye catching image to entice people to read the blog.

The Crouch Group has developed a process to make the entire operation run much easier and more smoothly. We have created an awesome five-step blog creation assembly line for clients who are interested in using this to take the burden of blog writing off of their shoulders. But not rely on someone else to tell your story.

Step 1. Blog Recording

The biggest hang up, for many people, is finding the time to sit down and actually write.  We have eliminated this problem. We set up a phone call or in-person talk, where we will ask questions about the blog topic you want written. Our background in radio and television news makes it easy for you to speak at length about the subject matter and have in-depth blog content that is written in your voice about your business.

Step 2. Transcription

We transcribe the recorded interview. This typically takes only a few hours.

Step 3. Editing

The transcription is initially in an interview style:

Speaker 1: Here is my question.

Speaker 2: Here is my response.

For some blogs this interview-style may work. However, for most blogs, they will need to be in a narrative-style, just like this blog.

We take the interview-style transcription and edit it from the spoken word to the written word. We want the blog to be easily read by anyone interested in the topic.

At this point, we will send the blog back to you for your approval.

Step 4. Search Engine Optimization

After approval, we edit the blog for Search Engine Optimization. On any website that The Crouch Group designs, as part of the backend of the website, we have tools that evaluate content and help us be the most effective for SEO. We set a single keyword that tells the search engines what this blog is about. We may edit the header to be more descriptive for Search Engines. We also write a meta-description for the blog. The meta-description is the 2-3 sentences introduction to the blog that you will see on Google or another search engine.

Step 5. The Blog is posted

Once we have edited the blog for spelling, grammar, context, and SEO, we post the blog on the website. We will also post the blog on various social media sites: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google My Business, to increase the reach an interaction with the blog. We can also repurpose the content for email newsletters or blasts to subscribers and potential clients.

The mission of The Crouch Group is to leverage our expertise in telling our clients story so they grow their business, and to make a difference in the world. • Facebook Seeks Consumer Opinion with Relevance Score!

In February 2015 Facebook released a new advertising feature “Relevance Score”. This is a rating system that is used for paid advertising on Facebook. This score is based on a 1 to 10 point scale; the higher your ad scores the more relevant your ad is deemed. Some users are finding that this is similar to a Google quality score. A Google score is based on stats between an ad and landing pages while the Facebook “Relevance Score” takes feedback and insight from you as the user into account. As a consumer you can give positive or negative feedback regarding any ad you’re seeing on your Facebook feed, giving you a voice on this social network.     How is a “Relevance Score” relevant to…
