Meet the Crouch Group’s Intern Shelby Richardson

The Crouch Group is happy to welcome our returning intern, Shelby Richardson. Shelby first worked with us last fall with the Oklahoma United Methodist Home for Christmas Campaign. The Home for Christmas Campaign was designed to unite people in Oklahoma with a church near them for the holiday season.  Shelby worked directly with 500 churches  to communicate the campaign as well as help those churches through the process.

Shelby’s new responsibility will be creating content for clients in their social media projects. Social media today is swamped by older content that seems to be continually shared, yet offers no new information. We are excited that Shelby can help the Crouch Group as well as our clients come up with new and timely topics to be shared, making a lasting impression on viewers.

Shelby recently collaborated on a film that features Brittany Johnston, another Crouch Group team member. The video production highlighted sculpting of one of Britany’s  art pieces.

Shelby is graduating in May with a major in media arts and a minor in marketing from the University of North Texas. She has always wanted to combine her interests in film and marketing and has found a great fit with the Crouch Group. Here are some fun facts Shelby shared with us about her life:

If you could have any job in the world, what would you want to do?

“The dream would be to make movie trailers and do marketing for movies.”

If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?

“New Zealand. It is just so beautiful! I would hike around and try to see as much of the land as possible. I would also love to visit Scotland and Ireland at some point in my life as well.”

What is your favorite social media platform?

“Facebook has grown to be my favorite social media platform. I really like the events aspect, which lets me stay informed and up to date with my Denton community and all of my favorite places as well.”

We look forward to all of the new projects that Shelby will be working on with us at The Crouch Group. She is going to be filming for one of our clients, Penguin Patch, in the next few weeks. We will be posting those videos, so stay tuned!

  • Facebook Seeks Consumer Opinion with Relevance Score!

In February 2015 Facebook released a new advertising feature “Relevance Score”. This is a rating system that is used for paid advertising on Facebook. This score is based on a 1 to 10 point scale; the higher your ad scores the more relevant your ad is deemed. Some users are finding that this is similar to a Google quality score. A Google score is based on stats between an ad and landing pages while the Facebook “Relevance Score” takes feedback and insight from you as the user into account. As a consumer you can give positive or negative feedback regarding any ad you’re seeing on your Facebook feed, giving you a voice on this social network.     How is a “Relevance Score” relevant to…

  • Marketing a Better Divorce Option

When most people think about divorce, they think of the traditional method involving two people slugging it out in litigation. But this method often leaves behind a trail of destruction, especially if children are involved. The Collaborative Divorce process is a relatively new concept that strives to help divorce clients stay out of the courtroom and obtain the best outcome for everyone involved.
